I am retired and travel to the RP frequently. At present I spend most of my time in Alona Beach - Tawala, Bohol.

Where are you at in Hawaii? I lived there for 10 years.

I am hoping to retire permanently to The philippines in a year or two.

I am in Maui. Been here 14 years after retiring early. Kind of burned out on the place. Not a good place to be as a single male over 40. Been to the RP about five times and this next trip will be for four months. Seems at this point I will spend most of the year in the RP coming back to Maui for short periods. Who knows, maybe I'll end up in the RP full time.
The current retirement guidelines are tempting. I'm told the latest SRRV program requires a deposit 10,000.US dollars coupled with proof of a guaranteed monthly pension income. That amount is down from 50k and 20k. I can't seem to find updated website information on the deposit amount.

Yes the info on their website is not always timely. You might try to contact them. I tried an email once but never received a response. You can probably get some info from the consulate in Honolulu.

I hope in a year to to 2 years to be living there mostly full time.

I was on Oahu for 10 years. A little more urban than Maui. I was on the big island several times and on Kaui as well but never made it to Maui
