Here is a sign that I noticed while in Makati City. This beer was very popular in the 1970-1980s. Maybe it still is now, I don't drink. I sent the pic. to LONESTAR after I arrived back home. Lonestar emailed me a reply. They were very surprised the sign was still there. They thought it was put up while we still had a military base in the Philippines. They were very happy to see it still there. Just a touch of True America on the other side of the world!

Yeah, this is exatly what happened when the typhoon hit Manila (if i´m not mistaken a Billboard fell on a jeepney & killed at least one of the passengers). So, orders where placed to get rid of the Billboards & quite a few that i saw have been taken down (as u can see in the following pics...only the structure is left). However, the Billboard owners have taken this to court & the continuance of removing the Billboards have been put on hold...that´s why u can still see Billboards around...

Here are pics of stuctures of what´s left of Billboards & even those that are still left untouched.
