By chance I was in Fort Bonifacio yesterday and dropped by the showroom of a new development called Icon Towers.  These twin condos are to be built right by the perimeter fence of Manila Golf Club.  Suffice it to say that the view from these condos are highly impressive.  What better way to start your day in Manila than have a view of the fairways of the most exclusive golf club in the Philippines!

Will try to post pictures soon!

A taxi drove me from EDSA road to Fort Bonifacio.  I think the connecting road was called McKinley.  At about 6 pm on Thursday, the traffic was very slow due to many vehicles going in the same direction and only two lanes going in that direction.  It took the taxi about 30 minutes to go the distance on McKinley.

Just think with more condos, there will be more people, which will mean more traffic on the road.

Even EDSA road gets very crowded.  A month ago, at 10 pm on a Saturday night, the traffic was very slow moving.

A colleague who lives in a Fort Bonifacio condo said that the view was very nice.  But, there was the smell of cigarette smoke coming through the building air ducts, which was objectionable.

Another colleague living in a different condo said that the building's elevator had broadcasted several false fire alarm notices.

It could be unrelated to the buildings and related to something like the bad air of Manila.  A third colleague who lived in the metro Wash, DC area developed asthma after two months in Manila and he left at the direction of his physician pointing out his deteriorating health.
