Need to make a Doctors appointement when in Angeles City?
Make it to: Dr. Esmeraldo De Guzman, jr !
At my trip to The Phils in Feb 2006 i got ill, so after beeing confined to the Hotel room for a while i made it to Dr. Guzmans office.
What a big difference in service compared to Sweden! Didnt have an appointement & still...just had to wait for like 5 minutes before i could see him.
Described the symptoms & the Doc sent me to The AccuMed Diagnostic Center for the tests (it´s a Lab). Had all the bloodworks + Chest X-ray + ECG... U know, thats when they put those things on your chest to monitor your heart...Got kinda nervous when they came with what looked like jumper cables that they attached to my hands & feet..Chock treatment?!? he he.. but it was no biggie. All the lab tests came to around $100 something... Told the Lab i needed the testresults ASAP & was informed that the results would be delivered to Dr. Guzman 6 houres later ! I was at the Lab just after 6am (they open at 6am)...Had to fast /Not eat or drink for 12 houres before the tests..So, Patric was there as early as possible!  Just as they promised... at 1pm i get a call from the Doc´s office telling me the results are delivered...so i go back to Dr.Guzman who tells me i got Acute Bronchitis & he also shows me all the test results.
The thing is...i´ve had problems like this (not at all as bad as this time & never had to go to a doctor) on earlier visits to The Phils... But, the info & service i got from Dr.Guzman was so much faster & more effective than what i have recieved in Sweden. If i would have done this in sweden there would have been less tests & would have taken weeks !
This Doctor is no rookie, he has long experience of treating Expats as well as tourists . I´d say he´s one of the most well known Docs in Angeles city.
My conclusion... If i, God forbid ever get sick in AC again.. I know where to go... Dr Guzman !
