Hello All,

For those non-Filipinos out there. If you wonder what rice they eat, well it's NOT the bland American :(or Chinese :(type of rice. Usually in the Filipinos they eat Jasmine or Mila Grosa (the 2 might be the same). Once you try it, you will never eat that no flavor rice again, there is just no comparison. Jasmine Rice has such a very nice aroma & flavor.;)

It can be bought here in the States too if you want to try it.:D

;)Mabuhay;)

Jasmine is also my favorite here, Kevin.  Milagrosa ("miraculous") rice is not available in the lone Asian store in our area. Coming back, my check-in bag was loaded with jasmine-like scent rice but pinkish in color and sweet ("pilit" = sticky) rice for  biko and puto (Phil rice delicacies) harvested from my sister's ricefield. I don't miss to cook rice everyday. The price of rice in the Phils is ridiculous. National Food Authority is having a huge scam over rice distribution to the people. Worst of all, rice retailers are mixing bad , smelly rice (imports from other asian countries) and the good rice (raised locally by Fil farmers) and selling the mixture at a commercial skyhigh price !
