Good !
As i understand it, CC companies (primarily Mastercard & Visa but even Amex) in Sweden are not at all as "customer friendly" as they are in the US.... I´m not sure (never had to try) if it´s possible for us here in Sweden to call our CC provider & have them cancel what ever funds drawn towards whatever company the customer is having problems with (it works in the US).
This possibility would be a very big advantage for the customer since it will pressure companies (like Cebu Pacific) NOT to ignore the customer when there is a problem.... the only reason they are doing this now is cause they can.... meaning they don´t have to bother, cause they know that once you´ve made the transaction with your CC they´re homefree.
I really hate it when any company shows this kind of disrespect towards their customer base.
Exactly. I am going to try and find this out (what VISA, in my case, can do for me). I talked to my bank (Swedbank) today about this thing and she assured me that if there would be any amounts withdrawn from my card I would get it back immediately. It sounds a bit strange though, that I dont have to come up with some of proof on my part Like you Patrick I never had any problems with my VISA card and I had VISA since I was 16, so I never had to deal with this.
Disrespect (Cebu Pacific) towards customers is really what this is!

It's a real shame you had a bad time trying to get your ticket. Overall, I really like Cebu Pacific.
Customer Service seems to be lacking nationwide in the Philippines, at least customer service as we know it elsewhere. I have heard so Many times from Filipinos, that's the way we are. The sad part is, they have lost a lot of tourists to their neighbors due to the bad customer service in many places.
On the other hand, we as travelers want the BEST of BOTH worlds. We want the slower pace Filipino Style, EXCEPT for the customer service, I guess we shouldn't expect to have it both ways either - I'm just as guilty as the next, I love going there, then "grumble" to myself about the slow & bad customer service.
I'm not disagreeing with you guys, just thinking out loud.
I will try to have a more open mind next time - but my wife knows I will still grumble

If it is the slower pace that has to do with this behaviour I could more easily cope with it . Like you said, that is one thing we also like about the Philippines.
But sometimes it feels plain stupid to act like this to your own customers. It seems like they only pretend to have a helpdesk. But it is not really there .
I know at my company (i work at a software company) right now, it is harder to get through cause it is July and any Swede knows what that means. hehehe...

I finally managed to book tickets again with my brand new Mastercard . I tried frist to use my new Visa card with the same result as before, payment declined. In my bank I had the right to get a Mastercard credit card for free, included in my yearly fee to the bank. The ticket I booked was Cebu to Hong Kong and I paid 5 000 peso. No other airlines could beat that prize. Not even come close to it. My flight is the day before my trip back home to Sweden from Hong Kong, so I hope that is enough time space between flights if something will happen to my flight to HK!

Thanks. The doors just opened to make it easier for me to book some routes now, at good deals, so I can get as a good a trip as the last 3 to the Philippines . I will as I said go to China also this time, and maybe also the only country I havent been too (except east Timor), Brunei! As most people have said, as long as Cebu Paicific works hassle free, it is very good. Not to mention the prices!
