Well, first let me say we just visted there, we didn't stay in their rooms for a night.

The Springs themselves were a big let down for me :(

Maybe it was the time of the year , I don't know, but WHY do 100s of people go crowd shoulder to shoulder to "swin" in water when they have the WHOLE Ocean/Sea to swim in??? It does seem that Filipinos like to be with the In-Crowd and keep up with the Jonses, more so than here in the States. I didn't see ANY other ("non-filipino") visitors there.

I know it's a Big Filipino Tourist stop, but I was not impressed with the springs.

Now the good things :D....

The place was well kept, and a very nice Park type of setting. From looking at everything (Excluding the springs) I was very relaxed there.

If I go back to Camiguin (i hope I do), I will probably give their rooms a try at Ardent Springs. I did enjoy the place, just not impressed with the OVERCROWED natural warm water pools.

I do recommend stopping in at Ardent, but if you are wanting to swim, I'd say, hit the REAL water.

That's my 2 cents worth....for free;)

Hi Kevin!

You made me laugh on this post! The reason why Pinoys love to soak themselves at Ardent Springs is it's believed to have some therapeutic effect to the body. The "medicinal" benefit from it is maybe due to high/varied volcanic mineral contents  present in the water, beside the lukewarm temp, thus relieving muscle and joint pains as well as skin diseases . By the way, I haven't heard anyone doing some chemical analysis of the water there. Please don't ask me if I believe it or not, I simply enjoyed soaking there and watching others doing the same.

Hi Lumbia,

Thanks for clearing that up, I feel silly now :( :P ;) -- but I know many younger people were there and they were attempting to swim.

I didn't even get in, it was too crowded for me.

But there were also some "older" people sitting on the sides. It was pretty and nice just too many people for me.

Thanks for the response ;)
