I have viewed many hotels, and I have stayed in some very nice ones.

But, I haven't been everywhere in the Philippines, not even to Angeles City:shock:.

From what I have seen, The Peninsula Manila, located in MAKATI,  seems to be the most beautiful. I have read only GREAT things about it.

Before we go back to the Philippines in April, I would like some more info. on NICE and BAD hotels in LUZON.

We plan to stay at The Peninsula Manila but do you know of a nicer place?

Check it out...

PLEASE, tell me your thoughts.

THANK YOU FELLOW thephils BOARD MEMBERS!!!

Yeah, Shangra-La it about the best hotel in Manila reckon. Rates are not cheap though-

Close to $200 a night last time I checked.

The Pen. and Mandarin Oriental are bit more reasonable as far as rates, and are still quite nice.

I was paying about $100 a night when I stayed at the Mandarin for a deluxe room. (Slighter better than standard room)

The old Westin Philippine Plaza is no longer a Westin Hotel.  It is now Sofitel Philippine Plaza.  Though not really the best in the Philippines, it has a great location being at the edge of Manila Bay.

Great place to watch the PyroOlympics from.

We were able to get a local price at the Shangrila Makati for PHP7100 (for a 'deluxe' room).  I am sure many of the other top hotels have a local price as well.  I cannot review the Shangrila as the res was not for us but a family member.
