I have stayed here (SOUTHERN CROSS HOTEL M.H. DEL PILAR ST ERMITA MANILA )
a few times and its a great Hotel for the price. Its been open about 15 months.
Its very close to where you catch the bus if you are going to Angeles City (at the
Swagman Hotel ) The room very between about US$ 25 and US$ 35 I think.
