My wife recently took a trip back home and stayed in this place for a couple of nights... her advice as a local... stay far, far away. Strangely, the online reviews of the place I have found give it decent ratings! Anyway, just a heads up.

Well, i´ve never stayed there so i have no input.
What i do know is that there is a tendency on some Review sites / Travel Sites / Boards that certain establishments are getting glowing reviews simply cause the reviewers either have a "reason" for giving them 5 stars or the Hotel/Resto/Business has created several nics/members that will pose as legit members.....
Most Review sites are commercial in one way or another & that can affect the honesty behind the reviews.

I realise this post dates back to 2006, but I would like to know what your wife didn't like about the place.
I too have not stayed there (tried to book in one time near to Xmas and was told they were full by what can best be described as a surly male desk clerk.
I have read report on another forum where a foreigner said they recieved threatening phone calls while they stayed at this particular hotel, and some sort of scam to get them to hand over large sum of money to a person outside a local 7/11!
